About the Gator Gazette

Dickinson deserves a place where neighbors can stay informed, feel connected, and actually recognize the people shaping the place we call home.

Local matters most. That is why I started the Gator Gazette.

I have a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and nearly a decade of experience working in public affairs, growing social media accounts, building websites, developing communication strategies, writing articles, video, photography and managing communications teams. I’m a history nerd, a nature lover, and enjoy being on the water — especially guiding kayak tours and teaching about Texas wildlife and history.

With the Gator Gazette, I want to offer a responsible, down-to-earth voice that supports our community.

My Mission

To bring back community-focused, everyday journalism that helps people feel informed, connected, and proud to call Dickinson, Texas home.

Not sensational stories.
Not political spin.
Just real information that affects daily life.

Years ago, newspapers used to run a section called “Personals.” Neighbors wrote in to say they visited a friend in Houston, or that their church baked pies for a fundraiser. Nothing dramatic — just real people living real lives, and a community seeing itself on paper.

That's the spirit I want to bring back.

If you call Dickinson home — even for a little while — I’d love for you to be part of this.
